When you are going to resell your home and you know you have a smaller bathroom it's important to take some time to make it look as large as possible. Bathrooms and kitchens are very important to buyers.
- Clean up your clutter and get rid of it. Nobody likes to see the soap, lotion, or perfume you use. Hide it, hide it, hide it!!!!!
- Paint your walls a nice neutral, light color. Lighter colors will give the appearance of a larger space.
- Make sure you have a nice sized mirror in the bathroom. Sometimes if you add a frame to a mirror it can dress it up and make the room look better. Mirrors really help to make rooms look bigger and catch the reflection of the light.
- If you don't have storage in a bathroom, consider a vanity sink instead of a pedestal sink.
- Change out the lighting fixtures to more modern fixtures.
- Use a shelf to hold towels. Make sure they are folded nicely....
- Add a hook behind the bathroom door for robes.
- Replace the shower curtain with a nice neutral, clean curtain.
- Add a nice rug that ties in with the shower curtain and wall colors.
- Make sure everything is spic and span!
